Sydney, Australia, The Australian - PHOTOGRAPHY as an art form is on the wane. There may be more photographers having their work shown in galleries, books, magazines and on the web than ever, but something inherent in the medium - something people have spent 1 1/2 centuries being beguiled by - is losing its grip on the public imagination.

Henrieke Strecker’s beautiful pinhole photography is testament to the strength of photography in art. Her fascination with movement and the layers of moments captured by long exposure, reveal the very traces of time as well as her philosophy:

‘Remaining at a place, emerging from the usual allday mad rush, which has no chance, no hope of arrival, permits a perception to come up, what actually happened will appear again. Tales will step out of this rush, gestures threatened to be drowned by this quickness, almost covered by it.
